WHAT IS CERAMIC FILM?
Ceramic technology is the newest development in the Llumar CTX Line. It was designed to combat the reception problems created by many new cars manufactured with radio and GPS antennas integrated into the rear window. The Llumar Series is the only true ceramic automotive window film available today.
Although films containing metal provide a high amount of heat rejection they often can interfere with AM radio and navigation signals. Prior to ceramic technology, the only option was a dye-based film offering no interference, but lacking any significant heat rejection.

While other films employ very dark tinting to achieve similar levels of heat rejection, our Windshield Series of films are light enough to not restrict driving visibility while providing the maximum amount of heat and UV protection from the sun. What Do The Window Tint Percentages Mean?
The lower the number, the darker the tint. The lightest shade we offer is 80%, it looks like clear glass, and does not change the appearance of the glass at all. The darkest shade offered, being 5%, which is “limo tint”, making it hard to see out at night. The Kansas legal limit is 35%. The Missouri legal limit is 35% on the front two, and as dark as you want on the back half. For Example: the factory tint that comes on the back half of vans, trucks, and SUV’s is usually always 20%.
